Cross Country

Cross Country

Yesterday it was cross country  day at the Matthews farm. We went on a bus and then we walked the track with Mrs Hannah and Mr Milne so we could see where we were racing. After the little kids races, the Year 4’s got called up to the start line. We did some warm ups and then it was time to race. There were big hills to climb and hay bales to leap over. As I was running I felt strong and happy. In the end I came fifth and before the finish line I sprinted. After that we got a sausage sizzle and watched the year fives and sixes race. I enjoyed watching them run up and down the hill.  In the end I felt tired, sore but relieved that I finished the race.   My Mum asked me if I wanted to go home but I said I want to go back to school.
